    Either you kept it too long in the rhodium or your jewelery wasn’t clean
    enough. I’m a jeweler myself.

    That would not get black spot if you didn’t polish it well….. If you
    didn’t polish it well and do rhodium, you would get some foggy stains like
    white spots not shiny.

    Your suppose to use distilled water. Tap water has minerals which will
    cause the rodium to adhere well.

    what about rhodium plating a ring with a diamond in it? do you have to do
    anything special to protect the stone? and what do you think is the best
